About Forum

Latvian National Centre for Culture announces the VII Forum of the Baltic States Wind Orchestra Conductors and Ensemble Leaders on 29 – 30 October, 2016 at Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in Riga.

The Forum take place since 2009 with an aim to strengthen importance of collective music making, traditions and experience in the Baltic states. Following previous expirience the working programme of the Forum includes masterclasses, creative discussions, exhibitions of music instruments and scores, concerts of wind ensembles and orchestras.

Conductors and musicians from all three Baltic states, as well as from Nordic countries, the USA, the UK, Russia, Belarus, the Netherlands and Poland will be represented at Forum. The Centre invites for participation in the Forum wind orchestra conductors, wind ensemble leaders of music schools and music secondary schools, music teachers, students of music HEIs (Higher Education Institution).
